Aphrodite Hills Resort recognised among Europe’s elite with 59Club Gold Flag honour
Cyprus resort honoured for world-class service standards
Aphrodite Hills Resort has been awarded a prestigious Gold Flag designation at the 59club Europe Service Excellence Awards, recognising the venue’s commitment to delivering world-class customer service and outstanding facilities.
The award was presented at the third edition of the 59club Europe Service Excellence Awards, hosted at Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Resort in France from March 5-6, as leading golf and hospitality venues from across the continent gathered to celebrate the very best in the industry.
Determined through impartial mystery shopping audits, 59club’s awards evaluate real customer experiences against objective benchmarking criteria, recognising venues that consistently deliver excellence across every stage of the customer journey.
The Gold Flag represents the highest level of recognition within the 59club Flag Designation programme and is reserved for venues demonstrating elite standards across service, operations and overall guest experience. Aphrodite Hills Resort was the only venue in Cyprus to receive the honour.
Alongside the resort’s success, golf course superintendent David Blair was also recognised as a finalist in the regional Greenkeeper of the Year category – a significant achievement given the strength of competition across Europe South.
Miguel Girbes, director of golf & sports at Aphrodite Hills Resort, said: “We are incredibly proud to once again receive the Gold Flag Designation from 59club. This recognition reflects the dedication and passion of our entire team, who work tirelessly to deliver exceptional experiences for every guest who visits Aphrodite Hills.
“Customer service sits at the heart of everything we do as a resort, and to be recognised among Europe’s leading venues is a wonderful achievement for everyone involved.”
Across the coming year, Aphrodite Hills Resort will be expanding the 59club testing programme to include the soon to be opened Racquet Club and the PGA National Golf Academy as the venue continues to focus on improving the overall guest experience.
The 59club Europe Service Excellence Awards celebrate venues and individuals who set the benchmark for hospitality and service within the golf industry. The awards span three European divisions and recognise consistent performance throughout the previous year.
With the Gold Flag recognition, Aphrodite Hills Resort continues to strengthen its reputation as one of Europe’s premier sporting destinations, offering visitors exceptional golf and sporting facilities alongside luxury hospitality on the southwest coast of Cyprus.
